Kewpies

Now I may have been having a few too many late nights lately, look what I have done to my kewpies!!
I had lots of fun embellishing their already cute faces......thought about making them little outfits, but I still maintain kewpies are meant to be naked.....accessorised maybe, but naked! I have attached a brooch back to them, so you can also accessorise. I will be listing them on my etsy and madeit stores tonight.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there :) I hope you are having a relaxing day like me.
My computer is broken again :(, hence the lack of posting! I have overcome some difficulties in photo uploading, editing etc on a loaner computer so I could show you the cards I made for my Mum and my Nana...I really like them, I hope they do too!
:) Tracey
For Nana's I embossed and paper pieced the Jumbo cling Rose stamp from Stampendous

And for Mum's I used a few different woodland stamps..the main scene a new one from Hampton Art coloured with Copics

My new Favourite 'Peep' the little birdy from Purple Onion Designs

Gorgeous little bunny from We R Memory Keepers

Day 3- Shaped Cards

Day 3 is all about shaped cards, which are a lot of fun. Here is today's creation using Spellbinders 'Wonky Rectangles', my new Penny Black stamp 'Dreamy' I have been waiting on....It really is dreamy!
I have photographed a few different angles to try and show you the 'Perfect Pearls' and glitter that I love the look of.

Day 2 of Online Card Class

To make the most of the online card class, I am trying to use the skills taught everyday...like 'homework' but much more fun! I hope you enjoy seeing my daily creations, I also hope I can keep it up...who needs a clean house anyway!!!
Today we learnt about die cut window cards, which I have never tried, so my effort is a bit poor but I had fun and I will do better next time. I have included some other cards I have made tonight as well.

Online Card Class- A Cut Above

I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks, with a broken computer :(....then a broken keyboard which made my new computer not want to work either! Anyway, now I have a nice computer that allows me to watch videos without pausing 20 times to reload, and I am in heaven!
To make the most of it, I have enrolled in a great online card class-A Cut Above, to learn a bit more about die cutting and the latest in cutting with the silhouette machine(which I have been coveting) . I have never participated in an online class, but I am thoroughly enjoying it...we are only on day one, if you would like to join in it is not too late here is the link .
Here is a card I have created after today's lesson and a couple of cards I have made in the last few weeks.

What I am Working On

Tonight I have been putting the finishing touches on some new denim flower brooches. It takes quite a while for them to come together, Mum and I rarely sit there and make one flower from start to finish. A lot of the time, the shapes left over from another project inspire us into making a few petals or an interesting centre, then we continue to make a few more if they turn out looking half decent! When we have collected a few layers we mix and match to see what looks good and put them together to create a really unique recycled accessory :)

Some of these will be available at the next BrisStyle Twilight market on Friday the 27th April, you will also find some at 'Just Plain Gorgeous' in Oxford St Bulimba 7 days a week (well worth the visit, lots of gorgeous goodies) !
